sorry. as i keep telling katie, i cant spell french. their vowels are just wierd, and they use all sorts of letters in there that arent said. i can just guess at the phonetic spelling for things like that any more. course, it doesnt help that my phonetics have been twisted thanks to japanese. but yeah... a better medium for what? or better medium in between what?

Hmm . . . phonetics. Those are fun. You can do all sorts of wacko stuff with them.

i must agree that english is insoficiant. what we need to come up with is a way to hook two or more brains together, then just be able to have others sence what it is that we are feeling/thinking/seeing. would be much more efficiant

. . . But would you really want someone's brain hooked to yours? [Kyle's back and he says: Wouldn't that be painful? . . . ] But you would get a very good idea of what people meant.

True. Well, it wouldn't necessarily be painful, because the brain itself has no pain receptors. So, as long as they numb the skull, then you'd be fine. Why do you think they can do brain surgery without the patient being drugged or in pain? It would be cool, though, because you could find out what people meant right away. Course, we could just find a way to make everyone psychic or empathic, too. That would work. Never need a language.

that is kinda the same idea. thouh making everyone psycic would be less... odd. actually, what i had been thinking of was more along the lines of some permanent implant into everyone's brain, then a cord that would connect the two and you could see/feel/etc. what the other person was.

Maybe we should just get an implant that transmits brainwaves, rather than a cord. Would make college a whole lot easier.

would indeed. then we wuldnt really have to go to college. just sit in class and soak it all up.

Yeah. Except, then, we wouldn't get to meet cool people. If we did that now, I never would have met you all, and we wouldn't be talking about this. Sad thought.

But just think, we would be one step closer to becoming the borg. Who doesn't want that?
