Blinking his eyes, Mithrandir slowly woke up a few hours later. A little disoriented, he tried to get out of bed but somebody forced him down. He looked around and noticed that he seemed to be in some kind of doctor's office and that Doelcm and Erk were both in there with him. They appeared to still be asleep/unconscious. He then noticed who had stopped him from standing up. He appeared to be the person in charge so Mithrandir asked him who he was. The kind old man answered that he was the healer and that Mithrandir and his friends had been brought in there because they had fallen unconsious. He believed that it was because they had used their powers too much and suggested that Mithrandir get some sleep. Mithrandir decided it might be smart to take his advice and went back to sleep.

Erk blinked a few times, wondering where in the world he was and what had happened. Then he laughed, realizing what he had just thought. Where in the world, indeed. His laugh came out as more of a croak than a laugh, and he realized that he was still feeling very weak, and very thirsty. Erk tried to lift his head, but that proved to be too much for him, and he fell back, unconcious again.

Sarala woke the strangers. "Greetings," she said, "If you are able, you are all invited to attend the Elders' meeting this afternoon. They will be holding a hearing for Kunar, the leader of the invaders. I expect you'll feel up to it soon; it generally doesn't take me more than a few hours to recover after over-using my powers. Not that that's happened recently." With that bit of information to ponder, she left.

New strangers, Sarala thought,I wonder where they come from. I wonder if they'll take me with them when they go. Smiling at the thought, she made an orb of light to illuminate her way down to the hallway.
(Let's have only those from other worlds have special powers.)

Erk blinked a few times, wondering what had just happened. It seemed as though an angel had just walked in and told them that they were invited to the hearing. Lying there in bed, staring at the door she had walked out of, he tried to recover the parts of his mind that had fled.

Mithrandir had listened to the new visitor very carefully. He was feeling better and felt like he could touch his power again. To try and test it, he caused a little bit of fog to appear in the room. When it appeared, he felt like he could stand up and go to the hearing. He ceided that he would need to practice this power and see what his limits were. In the meantime, he would follow this new person to the hearing. He turned around and saw Doelcm just waking up. He quickly explained to her what was going on and suggested they go to the meeting.

Doelcm agreed that they should go to the hearing. She hadn't over-extended herself as much as the boys had, so she felt pretty much normal. She stepped out of the door, with Mithrandir and Erk following, and saw the stranger make a glowing orb appear in front of her. Cool, Doelcm thought, I wonder if she's a native or a . . . space traveler. . . or what ever we are. I've never seen a native use special powers, and they probably would have during the battle if they could.

Mithrandir was also curious about this new stranger. She seemed to be human (ooc: that is what we are, right?), but how did she get here? As they approched the room for the hearing, they heard loud voices and saw a huge number of guards in the room. In the middle of the room was the prisoner, being interrogated by many of the natives. They were asking him things like "Why did you attack us?" Unfortunatly, they weren't getting a lot of answers.

(ooc: Yes, I think we're all humans.) Whether out of respect or (in Kunar's case) fear, the room quieted down when Sarala and the others entered. Sarala took her place and invited the Doelcm, Erk, and Mithrandir to sit as well.

"It's their fault!" Kunar finally, and loudly, broke the silence. "How can you trust people like that after what happened last time?!"

Erk started at the sudden outburst. "Our fault?! Hey, look, we didn't ask to come here, we just suddenly ended up here. And because we just appeared here, you attack? Innocent civilians? What kind of person attacks civilians? A disgraceful kind, that's who." Erk sat back down, fuming, as the noise level in the council chamber rose as the elders turned to talk to each other.

Mithrandir decided now was the best time to get some answers: "What do you mean LAST time? None of us have been here before. We don't know what is going on, or how we got here. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first of our people to come here. If there have been others, tell us. We may be able to help you stop them. And as to your accusing us, if we had evil intentions, don't you think we would have destroyed these people instead of living with them and helping them? That's all I have to say."

"About four months ago," Sarala explained, "three strangers came. They were welcomed by Kunar's tribe. Unfortunately, when these strangers found out that they had supernatural powers, they decided to use them to gain power, wealth, and so forth. This tribe and Kunar's united to fight off these Three."

"So, if Kunar's tribe allied with this tribe earlier, then why turn against them now? Why not ask, rather than attack?" Erk's anger diminished slightly as he looked back at Sarala. 'Who is she, and where does she come from? I don't think I've ever met anyone like her before.' "Attacking civilians is one of the worst crimes ever. Even when you think you have a just cause, it's not right."

"Everyone, let's calm down and try and figure out what's going on. Anger will get us nowhere. Kunar, we have no quarrel with anyone here. Can you tell us about these three other visitors?"
