In response to Melinda and Jason's question: you graduate at 120 credits but anytime you get over 125-130 you have to petition and tell the school why they shouldn't give you the boot!
As for me: I'm foremost a Pre-law student. I'm an Economics major with a cluster in Spanish and looking at either a cluster in Business, philosophy or I might petition the creation of a Pre-Law cluster (which would be mostly PolySci and History).
BTW: everyone take Phil220 - Intro to Logic (I think that's the right number). Set your mind free, because I don't want anyone from this intelligent group to devolve into the anti-logic adults that I see throughout the school administration!

Ryan, you are WRONG. Jason asked me to look it up. I looked in the course catalog on the school's website and the limit is 140 credits.
As for my major, I am a Political Science major right now looking to go to Law School someday. I do not yet have a minor.

No, you just proved me right.
120 credits to graduate, at 130-140 you have to petition, after that they give you the boot unless you have a really good reason.
BTW, you should go to the BYUI Pre-Law Society, school statistics show that those that go to it have very high LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) scores, while those who do not score very poorly. Not to mention you'll actually know what you need to do and where you should go for law school (I'm applying to UC-Berkley, U. Southern California (Gould), Washington University at St. Louis, UC-Davis, BYU, and UC-Hastings)

Um, Ryan, according to Bro. Twitchell, the head of the CS department, 140 is the limit. You have to petition for more over 140. As a CS major, I need 120 to graduate. However, I can do an English minor if I want and don't waste credits, because it would be less than the 140 limit.

so, you could become an english minor. but then, have no fun classes. i suppose that if you like that type of thing, then you could do that. me? i like to have my fun class in there as a stress reliever.
