Aye, well, I never watched DS9. I recommend don't skip TNG, it was the best, in my opinion. At least, watch the movies. They are good.

TNG was indeed some of the better stuff. dont even remember that one episode. it was pretty good however. would have to agree with jason on the fact that it is probably the best one out there.

Aye, it's a little hard to come by. Though, all the ones I've seen I watched on videos from the library. If you go to www.starshipexeter.com, you can watch a kinda spoof of the original, about another ship in the same time period. They do a pretty good job.

Uh, I hate to burst your bubble, but TNG, as well as the other series, are rife with innuendo relating to alternative sexuality, not just that one episode that I pointed out. It's really hard to miss.
I liked Voyager the best, personally.

Bringing the topic back to anime (odd how this thread is like one page anime, one page nonsense, and 3 pages Star Trek).
Never bothered to watch Magic Knights Rayearth. I don't have anything against "magical girl" animes but I refuse to watch the majority of them due to the "transforming" sequences where they are naked!
While I love good, deep, philosophical animes I also love the little kid ones. For example I've been watching "Pita Ten" lately a fun, cute show about elementary students, an angel that is so naive and outright dumb that she ends up causing more havoc than help, and a demon-in-training who tries so hard to do evil but usually ends up helping everyone due to her naturally good nature (my favorite character).

I have Pita Ten on my hard drive, but the other two or three dozen animes I have with me are either on computer CD/DVD or are DVDs
