It could be worse, you could be in a drought. Some people are kind of worried out here that we haven't had enough snow this winter and could be in trouble with the water supply.

they arent worried about it, it is almost positive. we havent had enough snow this year, and this year was unseasonably warm. mor'n likely, we _will_ be in drought conditions. just like the last 7 years i was here...

A drought is a less than normal amount of rain, not a lack of it. Georgia in a drought would still probably get more rain than Idaho not in a drought, but we'd still be in a drought, and it'd still be a problem.

i've always wondered how droughts in rainy places that get more than 3 times as much rain as we do here happen, but i guess it makes sense.

We may still get three times as much rain as you, but we probably have at least three times as many plants and more than three times as many people.

plus they have a lot of trees in the South. We just have rocks and they don't really need to be watered.

Yeah, rain's only nice it you don't have to be out in it. But up in Idaho, I did start to miss hearing thunder. You don't get much of it, at least not in the fall/winter.

It's thundering right now. Boy, was it raining hard while I drove home from church! Fortunately, it was still pretty light outside, so I wasn't too worried about being able to see.
