I'm gone for a couple of weeks and now I don't have any clue where any of the threads are going. So I'll just play n00b and make a new thread.

Heh heh. Of course you would, rather than go back and look and read what's going on.

He shouldn't have to. We should be using this forum correctly, keeping on topic, and when a topic runs dry or grows tiring, we stop posting in it. Instead of switching tracks within a thread, we should create a new thread with the new idea. It makes everything so much more organized. In some forums a thread can get locked because it strays too far off topic. I think that we should at least try to keep threads on only one topic. Pretty pretty please with sugar on top? It won't be hard, honest. I am creating an "off topic" smiley to encourage keeping on track.

Where do you get these smileys? I like your "pretty pretty please" smiley.

if you notice, we have been doing better at keeping it on topic, for the most part. just the topics are so broad, that they can range all over in that topic. like the movies thread. it is staying on movies, just not how it was at first.

Indeed, such is how it is. And, if you don't like that a topic is straying, then oh well, don't post in that thread. Just how it is here.

well, there are also some of them that if we were to change the title, it would still be on that topic. jsut, the orriginal topic doesnt quite work, but we have been on one topic for a wile, and we could change it to something.... never mind. just confusing myself here. but you should get the general idea.

In that case, we should change the name of that thread to match the current topic.

Changing the name of the thread to match the topic sounds like a good idea.
