The next morning, Doelcm got up and started training. A few days ago, she had noticed that she could "sense" what atoms made up something. It was like a very blurry image that sometimes appeared when she looked hard at something. A thought occured to her and she took a lock of her stick-straight hair, which now reached the bottom of her shoulderblades. Staring at it, her vision zoomed in until she could see the molecules and atoms that the hair was made of. Carefully, Doelcm altered the placement of the molecules until in her hand, she held a lock of curly hair. She smiled. I'd always wanted curly hair. She then passed her hands over all of her hair, making every bit of it curly. Doelcm tried changing more and more things. A little while later, a slightly tired, but very satisfied Doelcm looked at her reflection in a nearby pond. The Time Gereral will have a hard time finding me now. I wonder if I can shape shift other people. . . ?

The Queen, and Generals left the dark kingdom, towards Chyslim. The used Shilms invisibility ability to hide herself and all of her servants in Chyslim, until they see the coming of Sarala, and her friends.
"Now remember divide them and they won't be as strong. They might not allow me time with Sarala, so make me time my Generals. Remember that they may try to be hiding." Said the Queen Lucrecia.
"I can't wait for the opportunity to meet the child of light that posesses the ability to conquer all darkness, and that she would travel with a group of powerful allies that would protect her ,but I doubt that Sarala is the one to destroy all darkness. I'll have assess her when i meet her and her companions." Thought Lucrecia to herself.

Erk looked up as Doelcm came back to camp. He had been whittling a stick with a pair of knives that she had made for him the day before. "Hey, your hair . . . it's different." "Yep." "How, and why?" "Like this." Doelcm took the stick that Erk was holding, held it for a minute, and then passed her hand along it, changing it from a rough stick into an arrow-straight shaft. Erk's eyes widened in surprise. "Let me see that." She handed it back to him, and he held it in his hand. It had become completely straight. A sudden idea came to him, and he brought forth a little heat to his hand. Moving his hand slowly up and down the stick, he began to fire-harden it until it became a nice, strong, now straight shaft. "Here you go. A handy back-up." Doelcm took the stick and stuck it in her belt. "Do you think you could hide us?" asked Erk. "I don't know, I haven't tried it on other people." "Here, try my hand. Try changing it to have a dark tan." Doelcm took Erk's hand, focused for a minute, then moved her hand back and forth, leaving a trail of dark-tanned skin behind. "Wow. Now that is cool. A tan without even having to sit in the sun and roast." Doelcm rolled her eyes and finished changing his hand. "With this, we just might be able to sneak in undetected." "Hey," said Erk, "this can be changed back, right?" Doelcm just smiled and walked off. "Hey!"

A pesant walked towards Temor and said. "Temor our spies in the forest tell us that the empowered one's have changed their apperance."
"That is alright we will find them anyway, they will try to find allies, but they don't know who is allied with us already. There are people that understand that trying to fight us is foolish. As soon as we notice anyone ask for any type of help, you are to question them." Said Temor.
Lucrecia was looking out on the sunset, and then she turned to Temor.
"Go and find the leader of Chysiln, and convince him that if anyone asks for help to bring us down they are to be apprehended and taken to the prison, but they should be placed in seperate cells if they were in a group. This will help us ensure that I have my private talk with Sarala." said Lucrecia with a cold tone.
"I only serve you my love."
Temor left the presence of the Dark Queen and he headed towards the townsquare, but he too hid his true identity, he looked like a peasant.
" I need to talk to your leader, I have traveled far, and my country needs help, they have take many causalties." Said temor to the guard of the capital.
The guard allow temor in to talk to the Leader.
Temor waited for the guard to leave them alone, then knock out the leader, and he put his cold fingers into his mind so that he could control Chysiln. Temor walked out, and he turned to the guards and said
" I think that you leader may need some rest he seems quite tired, but he agreed to help us which is appreciated. I thank you for all your help."
Temor walked out and took his spot near the entrance, waiting for Kor, he could sense his mind, Kor cannot hide his mind from Temor.

"I don't know about this," Sarala said. Doelcm had been trying out her transformation powers on the princess with rather dramatic results. Sarala, rather than being fair skinned with strait golden brown hair and purple eyes, was now tanned with large ringlets of truely golden hair and bright green eyes. "We're trying to be inconspicuous, aren't we?" "Fine." Doelcm then proceeded to give her friend raven-black hair, even fairer skin than normal, and rose-red lips. "Now you're the fairest of them all," she joked. "Doelcm, what are you doing?" "Party pooper," said Doelcm under her breath. Soon in Sarala's place stood a little peasant girl with dirt-brown hair, non-discript eyes and work-darkened and roughened skin.

Erk was trying not to laugh out loud as Doelcm worked to get Sarala's image just right. It was almost too funny. Walking away to cool off and let his laughter die out, he moved over by the trees, sighed, and sat down. He sat there, starring at a tree just a little ways down. As he was sitting there, he noticed . . . something. It almost looked like a person, though it seemed a bit . . . misshapen. Curious, Erk stood up and moved off in a direction to his right, then turned and headed parallel to where he had seen the . . . thing. At last he came even with the place he had seen it, then he moved toward it. Sure enough, there it was, whatever it was. It looked almost like the peasants, except that it was a bit . . . bumpier. It was looking off towards where their group was currently working to head into the city. Which meant that he'd seen them being transformed! Erk quickly thought what to do. Uncertain as to if he'd been seen changed or not, he decided to, rather than burn the man to a crisp, act as though he had gotten lost. Walking out from behind the tree he had been peering around, he moved toward the figure. "Hey, excuse me." The figure jerked sharply around, and Erk saw only two fiery red eyes burning benieth a dark hood, as well as . . . the symbol of Temor! Erk forced himself to keep his calm. "Oh, I'm sorry. Didn't mean to startle you. I was just wondering if you could help me. I got turned around in here and can't seem to find my way out. Do you know which way it is to the nearest city?" The strange being only stared at him for a minute, and then with inhuman speed took off deep into the forest. Erk blinked, then shrugged. 'Strange,' he thought. Turning back towards the group, he jogged to them. "Hey guys, we've got trouble. Just ran into a creepy-looking snoop. Works for Temor." "How do you know?" asked Sarala. "Well, let's see. All I could see of his face were two red eyes, and he had Temor's symbol glowing above them in a yellow light." "Oh no. Not the Mairn." "The Mairn?" wondered Doelcm out loud. "A fearsome race, known only to the royal family. Or so I thought. There are only about ten left in existance. Many many years ago, they attacked this country, trying to overpower us. We were able to beat them back using our power, but only just. They wreaked incredible havoc on my country and the surrounding ones. Last I knew, they had been locked in cave far away from here. If Temor has released them, then we may be in more trouble than we know. Not only are they incredible warriors, their skill in espionage is nigh unparalleled." "Well, then," said Erk, "we'd best keep our eyes open and be on the move. Doelcm, if you can make some changes to us that would change our features enough to be unrecognizable from our current forms or our real looks, that would probably be a good thing. Once you're done with that, then we get out of here and into the city as quickly as possible, before these Mairg show up again." "Mairn," said Sarala. "Whatever."

A man with dark red eyes, came to Lucrecia, and knelt before her and said.
"My Queen, we have seen the princess and her friends they have changed their apperance, and they are going to change them again."
"That is perfect, I need you all to continue to be my eyes, and ears. Don't allow your presence to be known again. I want to give princess Sarala a proper welcome, and we don't want to scare off do we?" said the Queen as she looked out at the red sky, that was being produced by the sunset.
"No, my queen." said on of the Mairn soldiers.
"good thing that we are on the same page, as soon as we have them near us have Temor come to me." Said the queen
"Oh, Sarala, how long are you have me waiting?" Thought Lucrecia.
"You are excused" said the queen to the Mairn soldier.

Tarak looked at himself in the mirror Doelcm made. This is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me, he thought as he studied his reflection. His light brown hair was now red, his skin was less tanned, and his nose was shaped differently. Doelcm had even put a small scar on his cheek. With the transformations complete, the friends set off toward the city, soon spitting into two groups. Temor and his mercenaries would be looking for a group of six people, not two groups of three. Sarala, Doelcm and Tarak entered in the front gates of the city, while Erk, Kor and Emico went in a gate a bit farther on. The city was too crowded and noisy for Tarak's tastes. The sooner they found help and left, the better. "How are we going to find help anyway? Are we still going to look for the royal family?" Since this country was overthrown, the chances of the royal family being alive and not in jail were slim. I wonder if we're going to have to break into a prison. I don't know how we'd do that without these guys using their powers and giving themselves away.

Erk studied his section of town. He'd been opposed to the spliting of the group, even though it made sense. They could still keep in touch via his and Sarala's mental link, but even if something happened to the other, there would be almost no way to get there in time to do anything without showing who they were, which would void the whole point of their disguises. Erk jingled a few coins that he had in his pocket. Doelcm had created them before they entered the town, using some that Tarak had with him as models. They were supposed to buy more equipment and supplies for the group. So far, though, none of them had seen anything that looked like it would be of value to them. Sighing, Erk turned again and look back the way they had come, past all the vendors trying to sell their wares before the sun went down. This time, though, there was something different. Soldiers were patrolling the streets, like they had been all day, but there seemed to be more of them, moving quickly. Not in particular direction, it seemed, but more soldiers meant that it would be harder to gather information. 'Hmm . . . not good' thought Erk. 'What's not good?' ask Sarala. 'There's more soldiers around. Almost looks like they're looking for something. You think that Mairg guy got a look at us after he ran off?' 'I'm sure that MAIRN didn't get a good look at us, or they would have stopped us at the gates.' Erk rolled his eyes as Sarala corrected him again on the name, then got serious again. 'Are you sure they would have? What if they're waiting for us to give ourselves away, so that they can make a public spectacle of it. Wouldn't be the first time I've heard of something like that.' 'I don't know. Let's just be careful and keep our guard up.' 'Sounds like a plan.' Erk turned back to the other two, who were currently looking at some swords that were on display. The vendor was explaining to them all the different uses for it, and while Kor seemed interested, Emiko looked like she'd rather be somewhere else. Erk silently chuckled, then went to join his two friends. Behind them, a shadow moved from where it had been watching.

More soldiers, Sarala thought, We will have to be very careful. "So what's next on the list?" Doelcm asked. "What?" Sarala's thoughts were inturrupted. "Oh, right. Travelers' bread. That and some dried meat, dried fruit, and waterskins." "Looks like there are a lot of food stalls over there." Tarak lead them to the other end of the market square. Erk, how are you guys doing? Sarala asked mentally. Not finding too much by way of weapons, he answered. How goes food shopping? Doelcm paid the merchant. Just finished. Now we're going to go look for alliles. Good luck. All the gossip around here says the royal familly was overthrown. Well, hopefully I'll see someone I know. However unlikely.

Temor was walking around the market, when he got a mental flare, he sensed Kor. "aahhh...kor, I know your mind from any other. Where are you?" Thought Temor to himself. "I need to alert the Lucrecia that they are here. I'm sure that she will be able to use Shilms power to identify Sarala, and then she can have her talk with her." Temor walked away towards a big catheral building, and heade towards the roof... Temor knelt next to Lucrecia. "My love, I have sensed Kor here, so that must mean that they are here." said temor "I'll sense her out but i'm going to need you all to keep the rest of the group away, I'm going undercover to find her, i'll bring her to the alter of light here in this Catheral, and i shall declare war upon Sarala's head. I want to see her suffer as much as I suffered." Lucrecia got up, and diguised herself and she started to walk the market, as an old woman. Temor followed. "Sarala won't even know who I am because she doesn't even know of my legend or of my return... Temor when we find them I'll need you to come and mug me so that they can assist me and that is when I'll pull her off to the catheral." Lucrecia an old wrikly woman walked to the food district of the city.

Erk had a very bad feeling. Something just wasn't right. Turning to the others, he said: "Hey, I think we should get back. We shouldn't be split up this long." "Ah, what are you worried about?" said Kor. "I don't know. Just something isn't right. Come on, let's head to the meeting spot." 'Sarala, we're headed over to the meeting spot. Meet us there.' 'Why?' 'Something isn't right. Can't you feel it?' 'Hmm . . . it does seem a bit strange . . . but do we really need to?' 'Yes.' 'Okay. We'll meet you there.' Erk and the others made there way to the meeting spot and waited. After a few minutes, they saw the other group headed their way. However, while they were still a little ways away, Erk noticed an old woman headed down the street. As she moved, she seemed to trip and stumble. Sarala and the others moved over to help her. 'Wait.' Sarala looked up. 'Why? She needs help.' 'Somehow, I don't think she does.' 'And why is that?' Before Erk could respond, a ball of purple fire landed in the middle of the square, exploding outward. Kor and Emiko were flung backward, while Erk flew forward. Panic broke out in the street as more fireballs began to land. Erk picked himself up and looked over to where Sarala and the others had been in time to see Tarak go flying as he was hit by a bludgeon of darkness. Doelcm had already disappeared from view, and Sarala was clasped in the grip of the old woman. However, she no longer looked old. She looked young, though her face spoke of much experience, and she had an evil, dark aura around her. And standing next to her, helping her to drag Sarala along, was Temor. Erk's face contorted in rage. Screaming a wordless cry, he summoned forth his power. Blue flame exploded from him, spreading three feet around him in a circle. The disguise Doelcm had given him gave way before the power that flowed through him. His blue hair returned and his eyes once again turned a shocking sapphire. A shocking, cold sapphire that burned with the fury and rage of one who's friend was in mortal danger. 'I'm coming, Sarala.' Blasting his way through the ranks of soldiers who had suddenly appeared, Erk dashed for Sarala and the evil woman who was dragging her away.

Doelcm was flat on the ground, enveloped in darkness. After a few minutes of vain struggleing, she heard someone, a woman, speaking to the Dark General. "What do you think you are doing?" It was the Time General. "That girl's mine." "I really don't see why you have to be the one to beat her." "You know she has a debt to pay." "So she beat one of your time mages. Get over it." "You let me at her right now or I'll stop your time and let my men use you for a practice dummy!" The Dark General gave in, whether out of fear or to get the woman to be quiet, Doelcm couldn't tell. A hole opened in the darkness surrounding her, and before either General could do anything, Doelcm teleported out of the remains of her prison and reappeared a few feet away. She quicky dropped the Dark General inside a pit, covered the pit, and covered the Time General's hands in iron. The Time General only laughed, at the Dark General in the pit, and at Doelcm. "Silly girl. That stopped my time mage, but I can manipulate time with my mind alone." Everything around Doelcm seemed to speed up. The Time General advanced towards her. To the other combatants, the Time General's walk was slow and menecing. To Doelcm, with her time slowed down, it was over too fast to be described. Slowing her speech enough for Doelcm to understand her, she said: "Don't worry, child. I'm not going to kill you. I have something much better planned."

It was over as quickly as it had started. By the time Kor had gained enough sense to act, the people who had attacked were no where to be seen. Gone with them were Erk, Sarala and Doelcm. Kor could only guess what had happened. The last thing he could remember was a strange purple explosion.
