i went and talked to Sister Evans yesterday. I now no longer have a major, minor and three clusters (plus a custom one not showing up). i now have (showing on my grad plan thing that isnt called a grad plan) two clusters, and religion requirements. i think i could handle that! (too bad i am only close to having the religion part done, and almost no work on the clusters) how exciting!

why did they even switch in the first place? it seems to have just been causing more problems than fixing anything...

well I wasn't working in the CAC before, so I don't know what a lot of the problems were that got fixed, but one that I know of was double-counting of classes. If you had taken a class that could fulfill two requirements, it would show up in both sections and cause a lot of confusion (because it can't do both)

You know, you'd think they'd test these things out BEFORE they install it.

I'm sure they did, but you know, no matter how much you test something, you will never be 100% ready. I think they just felt that it was best to debug it as best they could, and then go live and work things out as they go.

Very true. Especially when you have some idea of what exactly this system will be doing. Honestly, it wouldn't have been that hard to have found the double-counting bug. Really, something that obvious - it's just disappointing. It would be like a new Windows coming out that always seems to load up the same program, no matter what you do. Pretty obvious.

well, regardless, they did it. I can't do anything about it (and you guys know that I heard about it almost every day in the CAC)
