Style was a poor word choice. I meant the mood that is given off by that song. Happy, sad, angry, depressing, anxious, etc.

Guess again. It's about a man who is in denial, trying to convince himself that he'll be okay after his girlfriend hooks up with someone else. It's desperate.

No, most songs sound really strange if you take only a few lines out of context.
Try this song: "And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming, Or the moment of the truth in your lies. When everything feels like the movies, Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive."

A song about how the past has been hard, and a man who has been hurt before, and how he is hopeful for the future. Embarassment and hope.

Okay, I completely took this song out of context, but here you go:
"How could it be that the curtain is closing on me I turn around, find a gun on the ground, co.ck it, put it to my brain, scream ‘Die Shady!' and pop it The sky darkens, my life flashes, The plane that I was supposed to be on crashes and burns to ashes"

Here's what comes immediately after the part I posted.
"That's when I wake up, alarm clock's ringin', There's birds singin', it's spring and Hailie's out side swingin' I walk right up to Kim and kiss her, tell her I miss her Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister, almost as if to say
And when I'm gone, just carry on don't mourn, Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice Just know that I'm lookin' down on you smiling And I didn't feel a thing so baby don't feel no pain, just smile back"

Nope. The music is both angry and sad, while the lyrics are mocking and depressing. The way the part I typed up is spoken sounds sad; you can tell the singer is depressed. The ironic thing is that the title of the song is called: "Feel Good inc."
