I've just been listening to this Civil War soundtrack and that is a quote from it. Here's one from Stonewall Jackson to cadets at the Virginia Military Institute:
"Military men make short speeches, and as for myself I am no hand at speaking anyhow. The time for war has not come, but it will come and that soon, and when it does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard."

Good quote. Here's my war-related (but not really) quote:
"Bully!" --Theodore Roosevelt.
"Young man, let that be a lesson to you." --Teddy, in "Arsnic and Old Lace"

i cannot hide what i am. i must be sad when i have cause, and smile at no man's jests; eat when i have stomach, and wait for no man's leisure; sleep when i am drowsey, and tend on no man's business; laugh when i am merry, and claw no man in his humor. ~Don John much ado about nothing by William Shakespeare
