"how can you and i really expect to glide naively though live, as if to say "Lord, give me expeience, but not grief not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. keep from me Lord, all those experiences which made Thee what Thou art! then, let me come and dwell with Thee and fully share Thy joy!" ~elder neal a maxwell

"my life is but a weaving between my God and me; i cannot choose the colours He worketh steadily. oftimes He weaveth sorrow, and i in foolish pride, forget that He seeth the upper, and i the underside. not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly, shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reasons why. the dark threads are as needful as in the weaver's skillfull hand, as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned" ~from in the book "5 scriptures to pull you through almost anything when times are tough" by John Bytheway

"if we only knew it, heavenly hosts are pulling for us-- friends in heaven that we cannot now remember who yearn for our victory. this is our day to show what we can do-- what life and sacrafice we can daily, hourly, instantly make for God. if we give ouir all, we will get His all from the greatest of all." ~Ezra Taft Benson

"How many boards would the mongols hoard if the mongol hoardes got bored?" - Calvin
Truly a question for the ages.
And a bonus quote:
"Yakka foob mog. Grug pubbawup zink wattoom gaazork. Chumble Spuzz." - Calvin
